Workshop at Humboldt University Berlin Erwin Schrödinger Center 7./8.7.2008

This workshop is by invitation only.

It is our pleasure to invite you to Berlin on July 7th to 8th to join the JISC Usage Statistics Workshop.

The objective of the international workshop is to specify and outline requirements for a common  fundamental format for exchanging repository usage statistics. This is necessary for aggregating or comparing item-level usage statistics across a range of sources. You are invited as stakeholders to actively express your opinions and needs with respect to repository usage statistics.

We will try to reach consensus on the copyright status of statistical data and discuss policies on statistical data for repositories. In addition, we will address the conflict between the overall tendency for IR communities to want OA statistics and the potentially different perspectives on the part of commercial publishers.

The workshop will take place on the 7th and 8th of July 2008 at the Erwin-Schrödinger Center of the Humboldt University Berlin.
